Don’t you ever just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and enjoy a relaxing day (or weeks!) on your own? I have found you the perfect hidden gem: Domaine de la Roseraie.
With this being said, of course Domaine de la Roseraie had to be part of The Moroccan Dream trip! For those who don’t know about this trip yet: last September I took four of the greatest Dutch influencers, Anna, Yara, Lizzy en Claire to get to know the beautiful sights of Morocco, starting in Marrakech. After a busy quad bike day the day before, I decided to bring the girls to the beautiful Domaine de la Roseraie to have a massage or hammam treatment by choice.
At the heart of the Berber country, among the tranquil foothills of the High Atlas is where Domaine de La Roseraie is located. Being at an altitude of 1000m in the mountains, it gives you the ideal climate: Fresh in Summer and mild in Winter with pure and invigorating air. Secretly hidden in the middle of a natural park of 25 hectares in Ouirgane, far from the noise and the bustle of the cities – but only an one hour drive from Marrakech, La Roseraie is the dream retreat for everyone that loves to become one with nature.
Upon arrival at the spa, we were warmly welcomed with delicious, sweet Moroccan mint tea and were told about the treatments we would have. While the girls were enjoying a massage that differed from a hot stone massage to a massage that loosens your muscles, Claire and me enjoyed an amazing private and traditional Moroccan hammam treatment. Besides the fact that it was super relaxing, it left our skin feeling soft, clean and happy! After their treatment all the girls enjoyed an energy-boosting healthy and natural shots afterwards.
After getting ourselves ready, we drove to the hotel and were surprised with an amazing Moroccan ‘Sexy & the City’-type of setting while being served with cool and refreshing cocktails. We enjoyed taking pictures and were lead to the table where we had lunch. Surrounded by nothing but nature, plants and silence we were spoiled with a healthy, organic Moroccan lunch. In another blog about Domaine de la Roseraie before, I already talked about how much I loved how almost everything that is used in their dishes – such as the vegetables, spices – are naturally grown in their own garden. It was truly and again a lovely experience being at Domaine de la Roseraie. Even though it was for a short period of time (3-4 hours), I felt way more relaxing after then when I arrived there. It was the perfect boost for the rest of our Moroccan Dream trip!
In love with this place already? Wait until you experience it yourselve! For more information & bookings you can go to their website, Facebook page or Instagram. Of course you can also visit Domaine de la Roseraie for lunch, you can find the location here.
